One day, an elderly woman went to the doctor because she had a stubborn itch that just wouldn\u2019t go away. She was frustrated, uncomfortable, and ready for answers. \u201cDoctor,\u201d she said, \u201csomething is clearly not right, and I need help today.\u201d The doctor listened, did a quick check, and leaned back with a serious face.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis looks like a common issue,\u201d he said. The woman\u2019s eyes widened. \u201cThat can\u2019t be,\u201d she replied firmly. \u201cI\u2019m eighty years old, and I\u2019ve lived a very quiet, proper life.\u201d She left annoyed, convinced he was wrong. Still itching and even more irritated, she went to a second doctor. She explained everything again, carefully and politely.<\/p>\n

After another exam, the second doctor gave the exact same conclusion. The woman threw her hands up. \u201cNo!\u201d she snapped. \u201cThat explanation does not fit me at all. I know myself.\u201d Feeling unheard, she stormed out. Finally, she went to a third doctor and said, \u201cPlease help me. I have this itch, but don\u2019t tell me the same thing the others did. It can\u2019t be that.<\/p>\n

I need a real answer.\u201d The doctor nodded and said, \u201cAlright, let\u2019s take a proper look.\u201d After a thorough exam, he smiled and said, \u201cMa\u2019am, you\u2019re absolutely right\u2014you don\u2019t have what they claimed.\u201d She sighed in relief\u2026 until he added, \u201cThis is so old and undisturbed, you\u2019ve attracted fruit flies instead!\u201d<\/p>\n
