During a commercial airline flight, a Navy Chief was seated next to a young mother with a baby in her arms.
\nWhen her baby began crying during the descent for landing, the mother began nursing her infant as discreetly as possible.<\/p>\n
The Chief pretended not to notice and, upon debarking, he gallantly offered his assistance to help with the various baby-related articles.<\/p>\n
When the young mother expressed her gratitude, he responded, \u201cGosh, that\u2019s a good-looking baby\u2026and he sure was hungry!\u201d<\/p>\n
Somewhat embarrassed, the mother explained that her pediatrician said b.r.e.astfeeding would help alleviate the pressure in the baby\u2019s ears.<\/p>\n
The Chief sadly shook his head, and in true Sailor fashion, exclaimed, \u201cAnd all these years I\u2019ve been chewing gum.\u201d<\/p>\n
