Residents were stunned Tuesday evening when a sudden hailstorm struck with almost no warning, transforming a quiet night into a barrage of thunder, wind, and falling ice. What began as a calm sky quickly darkened as storm clouds rolled in, followed by sharp gusts and rumbling thunder that signaled something far stronger than a typical passing shower.
When the storm finally eased, the damage was immediately visible. Vehicles were left dented or with cracked windshields, and several homes suffered roof damage from the relentless hail. Streets were scattered with ice fragments, fallen branches, and debris pushed around by sudden bursts of wind. Emergency crews urged residents to stay inside until conditions stabilized and began assessing the extent of the destruction as soon as it was safe.
